80 Ways To Simplify Your Life
There are an infinite amount of ways to simplify your life and trying to implement too many at once can get pretty overwhelming. That is exactly the opposite of what we are trying to accomplish! To get a grasp on the ways I can simplify my life, I wrote out a list of goals. 80 ways to simplify my life. Keep in mind that when I say “simplify”, I also include ways of becoming a better person in general. My memory is horrible, so having a list like this helps me remember and organizes my thoughts.
As I was compiling my goals I realized that most of them could be applied to anyone. Take a look at these and see if any are right for you. Some people want to save more money. Some people want to live a greener life. Some people want to reduce stress. Pick and choose ones that appeal to you!
I encourage you all to leave a comment and let the rest of the community know about your goals. What are ways that you plan to simplify your life? As I have said before, participation from the community provides a whole new dimension to a blog. That interaction and collaboration expands everyone’s knowledge and creates a better experience. So be sure to leave a comment. We can learn from each other!

I missed a lot from the list that’s why my life is somewhat ruin.
Wow! Great post… I wish I could do more things to simplify my life and live better. I mean, most of the time, I’m either stuck with my PC or I’m studying at school.
I think I have to enjoy more of nature’s company - tomorrow, I will walk around our village for 30 mins. Good enough? Not yet, but it’s a start, right?
Great List!! After 43 years on this planet it is time I slowed down and tried to implement some of this list. The key is to pick one item at a time and implement it slowly. As you said do not get overwhelmed.
@ Hussein - I am sorry to hear that. You should try to find what the biggest thing is that is lacking in your life, or that is stressing you out, and try to work on it. I know it is easier said than done, but your happiness is worth it! Great blog by the way. Thanks for your comment.
@ Lucas - Starting small sounds like a great idea. I love going on walks to clear my head and free myself from whatever is stressing me out. What are you studying at school? College right?
@ Dave Jones - Definitely take it slow. I hope this list in itself does not overwhelm people. That was not my intention, hehe. It just helps me to see goals laid out all together. Thanks for stopping by!
My #81 for your list: COMMENT on blogs more often! YOUR great comment lead me to THIS great post!

This is a really great list! I see some I do (good job self), some I could improve upon (i.e. let my wife know that I love her), and some I need to start (i.e. set life goals)…I’ve got some work to do…
Lances last blog post..Don’t Ever Give Up
@ EZ Marketing Tool - Ha, I am glad you liked my comment. Which one was it and from which blog?
@ Lance - Some are simple and some are long term things for sure. It is nice to get a boost of self-esteem and sense of accomplishment by completing the ones that are simple though. Things like telling your wife you love her, like you said. Good luck in your efforts! I am really enjoying your blog by the way.

Right on! I’m loving your blog and it’s really putting alot of things into focus for me- I do need to simplify my life more, particularly in the “stuff” area. I put way too much value on the things I want and not nearly enough on what I have. I want to live more efficiently with less stuff. my simplifying list? Be more conscious of what goes into my body, grow my own vegetables and herbs, and waste less by recycling and reusing. Oh yeah and be more open to hearing other’s opinions and perspectives on life without getting defensive or being judgemental. That’s a big one!

Adding even more rules to life, each one with its number in front of it, could be a problem for some. Looking at the list the thought “I have to…” might cross your mind. Maybe makes you feel even more unfree than before.
But still, the list is a good thing, especially when you tend to forget things.
So I’ll add something:
* Be in the very moment and enjoy life.
* Stop worrying about things you can’t do anything about in this very moment.
Greetings from Austria!
@ Etosha - That is a very valid point you bring up. Seeing the list as a set rules of tasks that you MUST live by would definitely stress a lot of people out and complicate their lives. I try to not see it as that. It is just nice to have a set of goals, but I don’t feel obligated by them to be a happy person.
Be in the moment… a simple phrase that everyone should live by. Can be so hard for me to implement all the time though. Need to work on it!
