I work out daily (sweat like a pig and probably smell like one) but try to keep my showers short and to the point. Using timers and turning off the water while lathering up or washing your hair can make a big difference.

@ Emm - That is interesting that it is considered something that you do to show that you love yourself. I never looked it at it that way. I am glad you have figured out the short shower... if only everyone would do that.

I was musing the other day about how English and European differ to South Africans (being that I am a South African living in London). Now I can add Americans to the list. I will not leave the house in the morning without first showering and most South Africans (and Australians) I know are the same. In my world, showering twice a day is something good you do to show that you love yourself. Of course, from an environmental perspective, I have perfected the art of a top-to-toe shower in under 5 minutes.
But then I hate the musty and quite frankly dirty smell of my colleagues. I prefer not to smell other people's week old clothes or dirty hair but then again, I come from a very hot country where personal hygiene is a must.
Interesting how people differ really...

@ Jesse - I could not agree more about getting rid of your car. I sold my car a few months ago and am loving it! It is a tremendous weight off my shoulders. The exercise and money saved from all the biking I have been doing is incredible. No more insurance, gas, parking, registration, accidents, maintenance, degradation of value, pollution, laziness, roadrage... the list goes on.
